Day 16 : Night at The Bear.

Thanks to a heads up about this lovely live music venue, we ventured out for a night on the town.  The Bear is reputedly Oxford's oldest pub, dating all the way back to 1242.  

While the college bar staff seemed as unconcerned about the history as they could be, the place itself was steeped in tradition.  The walls were covered in graduation ties from Oxford students dating back a few hundred years, and the ceilings were uncomfortably low for modern standards.

Though the weather was cold outside, the music inside was warm and made for a nice evening.
