Day 54: Split Sea Kayaking.
A few years ago, I had the chance to go kayaking on the Tennessee River with the Faulkners in Chattanooga. We had a great time, and Vance has not heard the end of it since. Kayaking is the best. Vance humored me and we found ourselves wandering around Marjan Peninsula with a group of other kayakers. (Thanks, Split Sea Kayaking!)
Our group was quite the international crowd. A tour guide native to Split, some Belgian folks, and a couple from Scotland/Portugal. Pretty fun conversations there, as you can imagine.
We started at Bene Beach, made our way around to the Oceanography Institute of Split, and had a final stop at a secluded little cove just as our (my) little arms were getting tired. Although, not too tired for a bit of snorkeling and rock jumping :)
The views of the coast from the water were as nice as I'd hoped they would be. The water still that vibrant combination of blue and green that we've come to love.
