Day 59: Morning Routine.
For the last four weeks, we've developed a pretty steady morning beach routine. Originally an attempt to experience the beach before the heat and crowds of the day began, it's now become an unexpected treat for us.
Coffee and breakfast in our backpack, we head down just as the fog is moving out.
We've found our fellow early-risers to be mostly older generations of native Croatians, also avoiding crowds and heat. The first few mornings, we followed their cues: enjoying the morning sun, taking a swim in the cool water, calmly ushering in the day.
After breakfast and cold swims, we settle into our books. Or a good podcast.
Normally one of us feels antsy to get back and start the work day. We head out just as the cafe is opening and young families are setting up towels on the shore.
