Day 150: Notre Dame de Paris.

Day 150: Notre Dame de Paris.

Paris feels like the very best version of fall.

We picked this particular time to be in France because we figured, if it's going to be cold, we might as well be in a wonderful place all bundled up!  That has been absolutely true in Paris.

Many trees have already turned colors, leaves fallen, but there are a surprising many that are still vibrant orange and yellow.  The best sight to see for a couple of South-easterners who love their changing seasons.

Notre Dame is located on the Ile de la Cite, a small island that sits on the Seine River.   According to our guide, this area was the "original" area of Parisian settlers and remains a big administrative hub for the city.  We walked around the plaza outside, admired the flying buttresses, and even saw them setting up the most massive Christmas scene in one of the small chapels inside.
