Day 40: Sailing the Adriatic.

We took to the seas on our first full weekend in Split, aboard a catamaran called the "Summer Blues".

Croatia has some 1,000+ islands meandering all along the coastline.  We weaved our way through a number of them, including a stop at a particularly peaceful bay in the group of Pakleni Islands.  It's an interesting sight, all these islands, especially since so many of them are uninhabited and just, well, out there.

Unlike the rest of our time here so far, the weather was slightly temperamental, discouraging us from actually swimming at any of the designated stops.  However, we still got a chance to see some wonderful views from aboard.

We finished up our tour at Hvar Town, on Hvar Island, with just enough time to see terraced houses inching up the cliffs and a marina full of active sail boats.
